Real fire without the worries
Your safety is our top priority. Designed for easy refilling and safe ignition, our patent pending Aduro Bio-Safe system prevents refuelling when the fireplace is hot.
Universal safety
Carefully engineered for safe usage, our Bio Fireplaces have an integrated handle that automatically closes the burner when the fireplace is lifted, ensuring your safety when taking the burner out for refuelling. The burner contains ceramic fibers that absorb the bioethanol like a sponge, so you can safely ignite and move the burner without worrying about spillage.
Aduro Bio-Safe indicates whether the Bio Fireplace is too hot to fill. When the fireplace is about 40°C, a heat sensitive spring prevents the filling funnel from being attached.
Safe refilling
01
Make sure your Bio Fireplace is switched off and cooled down before filling
02
Use good quality bioethanol
03
Use small bottles of bioethanol, which are easier to handle
04
Pour slowly to avoid overfilling and spillage
05
If you spill, clean it up immediately and wait to light until the area is completely dry
The science of bioethanol
Aduro's Bio Fireplaces burn bioethanol. Highly flammable, bioethanol is an organic material that does not emit smoke, soot or ash.
Safe and odorless burning
Poor-quality bioethanol can cause unpleasant odors and, in the worst case, damage the burner. Your choice of bioethanol also has an influence on the appearance of your flames and how easy it is to ignite.
We recommend using only 93-96.5% liquid bioethanol in your biofireplace for easy ignition and good combustion. Only use bioethanol labeled UN:1170, which is recommended for bioethanol burners.
Be aware that there are products on the market that contain oil and petroleum. These must NOT be used in Aduro Bio Fireplaces.
Bioethanol must be handled with care as it is a liquid, flammable fuel. Never top up bioethanol when the fireplace is hot or in use.
Easy-to-use funnel
To make refilling simple and clean, our Bio Fireplace comes with a funnel. Made from recycled plastic from Danish households, we’re proud to introduce the funnel as one of Aduro’s sustainable initiatives.
